This arch was designed to create a sense of of being sheltered whilst not dominating the space. Designed to look as if the structure had grown in the space and harmonise with its surroundings.

When making a piece such as this I have a design in mind and usually several sketches, but then I let the metal steer the design showing me where it wants to go. I find that in doing this the pieces look more natural and less forced.
